Once you understand that post-traumatic reactions began as went to save your life, you may be able to find the courage to face what you feel deep inside, but you will need help to do so.
You need to find someone you trust enough to guide you through this, someone who can hold your feelings for you in a safe way and help you listen to the painful messages fromj’e emotional brain. You need a guide who is not afraid of horrors and can keep your darkest anger in check, someone who can watch over your wholeness as you explore the fragmented experiences you have hidden from yourself for so long.
Most traumatized people need an anchor, and a lot of support, to do this work.
